Future Faculty Grants (FFG) Program

Academic Keys has dedicated a portion of its annual profits to supporting the preparation of post-baccalaureate and post-doctoral students who intend to become faculty at institutions of higher education.

Activities supported with this award include, but are not limited to: individual development, continuing education, workshops, conferences, tutorials, study groups, and peer coaching or mentoring that will help applicants learn new skills, and attain new insights regarding pedagogy, communication and presentation techniques, the use of technology to support inquiry-based learning, student team dynamics, and curriculum development.

Program at a Glance

Program Description:  

This program supplements the advanced training of post-baccalaureate and post-doctoral students who intend to pursue careers in higher education. All academic disciplines at appropriate, accredited, United States institutions of higher education are considered for awards. Grants are awarded on the basis of academic merit, the intended use of the grant and an advisor's recommendation.

Eligibility:  

Graduate students in degree-seeking programs or post-docs, who are planning on starting their faculty careers within the next twelve months.

Duration & Frequency:  

These are one-time grants awarded semi-annually in January and July.

Deadlines:  

December 31st and June 30th, annually.

Award Amounts:   

Up to $1,000

Grant Administration:  

Grants will be awarded to the successful applicants through their academic department, with the funds being spent towards the proposed activities under the supervision of the recipient's major advisor.
